Make it rain this fall...

There's no better way to add another night of profits to your bar during an already busy season than hosting a Halloween trivia night. These are some of our busiest trivia nights each year and with the right questions as well as players in costume and a general festive vibe, it can be a hit for you, too. Below are a few of our tips for hosting a Halloween trivia night at your bar.

Get the right Halloween trivia questions

Get the right Halloween trivia questions

This is easily one of the most important aspects of Halloween trivia. It's difficult to write Halloween trivia questions without being too obvious and compromising the quality of the trivia. Questions should evoke conversation, be really fun, and make everyone on the team feel smart yet challenged. We at The Quizmasters sell three volumes of Halloween trivia packets to choose from, plus an add-on packet. The games are designed to last about 2 hours and are super fun. You can check them out on our Halloween trivia shop, or take a look at some of our Halloween trivia questions and answers.

Host Halloween trivia on the right night of the week

Host Halloween trivia on the right night of the week

This year, Halloween is on a Tuesday which means Halloween parties will most likely be the weekend before. If you have a regular trivia night on, say, Thursday, host it the week before Halloween. If this is a special one-off event, Halloween night or the night before would be perfect.

Try some more obscure Halloween songs this year at your Halloween themed trivia night

Get some Halloween music

What to play between rounds? Halloween music, of course. But what songs? “Monster Mash” is fine once, but after hearing it for the dozenth time in October it might make you want to monster mash the jukebox to pieces. To alleviate this, we have created the absolutely perfect playlist for Halloween trivia. We also have a more classic playlist if that’s more your thing. Or why not use both to shake things up?.

Hold some Halloween side contests

This is where you can mix things up a little bit. With events like costume contests and spooky team name contests, you can foster a festive atmosphere and entice more players into your bar. Why not give out a prize for both individual costume and team costumes? Prizes can be as simple as some candy or even a cash prize. You could also ask your players to try to make the most disgusting team names for a round of shots!

No matter when you decide to host a Halloween trivia night at your bar, if you have the right questions and a spooky festive atmosphere, you are sure to have another successful night in October. We at The Quizmasters love trivia more than pretty much anything (except Halloween!) so take a look at our trivia question packets. If you have any questions at all, please contact us.
